Perata and Ruccolo Cash in at
Well, as I said on the homepage, maybe a noon start in November was not such a
good idea after all. Darkness chased us down like an Oakland Raiders quarterback and
sacked our final skin. The sixth and final skin was cancelled as most teams were unable
to complete the final couple of holes.
Rich Perata and Frank Ruccolo took the first two skins and grabbed a share of the
fifth and final one to be the big winners for the day. Unfortunately, the information
regarding how much each team won was left behind in the "melee" of sorting out the
final tie. More on that later.
With a smaller than usual Skins crowd, the prizes were not as lucrative but they
were hotly contested just the same. Rich and Frank both played well despite the fading
light as they shot 88, 79 respectively. Also grabbing a skin and a share of the last were
David Jurief and Barry Dauphinee. These two recorded one of the lower skin totals in
Westdivot history with a 16 on skin #3 as they both parred the 8th and 9th holes for a
total of four net eagles! The team of Grant and Kitagawa won the 4th skin outright and
Drakes and Smith were the third team sharing in the last skin. You should have heard
and seen the animated discussion as these six wizards of high finance tried to divide
what amounted to about $13 apiece. I wonder what it would be like to go out to dinner
with these guys? No offense Frank, Rich, Bob, Chuck, David and Barry......you guys
were great!!
