Willow Park Redux
Willow Park was much more playable than it was in March and in fact all that March
rain had a lot to do with the course being in terrific condition for our second try.   
The tournament also marked the return of Max Takaki and following the round
everyone had two words for him.............."Stay Away!"

Max had a reasonable round following a long layoff, a 106 for a net 76, but it was his
influence on partner Taka that made everyone notice.  Taka obviously feeling good
about his partners return fired an 83 for a net 63.  His 39 on the back nine was
obviously the result of hearing those familiar words from his partner, "Nice Shot
Taka!", and led them to a team 59.

Bruce Bartfeld and Rich Perata finished second with a 60 led by Bruce's round of 79
using only 28 putts.   On a day with numerous 4-putt greens, a total of 28 was quite
good.   Rich shot an 89 and was King of the Par-3's as he played the five holes in net
5 under par!

Four teams tied for third with scores of 61.   The best round of the day was turned in
by Alex Ragonton with a 77 that included a back nine of 1-under 35.  Other notable
scores were Thierry Dubois's 80, 82 by Chuck Smith, 83 by Jim Suekama and 84's
from Ross Smiley and Bob Drakes.

Speaking of those putting problems, there were a total of 8, 4-putt greens and one
7-putt green.  The owner of that shall be nameless!
