"Max"imum Effort at Stonetree!!
You'd expect nothing less than a "Max"imum effort when
Max Takaki and Max Kofman team up!  Neither player
had a fantastic day as witnessed by a couple of double
figure scores on each of their cards but what they did
was manage to cover each of those to avoid a huge
team blunder.  The most impressive part of their round
was the 29 over the final 9 holes when the weather was
at it's worst.  Their team 60 was three shots clear of the
filed.

In second place was the team of Bruce Bartfeld and Rich
Perata.  Led by a stellar 83 from Bruce, they shot a
team 63.  Birdies were hard to come by on this day and
when Bruce doesn't have one on his card, you know it'll
be tough.  Rich shot 92 and played a consistent round
with only one hiccup on the par 4 15th.  Rich's
"snowman" kept him from shooting in the 80's.  Jim
Suekama and Gary Sakamoto were third with a team 64.
Again both players covered their partners mishaps as
Jim's 92 was actually a better round than it appeared.

PRIZE WINNERS IN GREEN
Brian Lee and Joel Patterson tied with Jim Hardy and Barry Dauphinee for 4th
place with rounds of 66.  Joel and Jim both shot 89 and together with Bruce's
round were the only 3 scores in the 80's.  Jim also had a good back nine with
pars on four of his final six holes.

The "Jackpot Hole" will once again carryover to the next event at Franklin
Canyon even though the dice produced the maximum roll of 12 feet.  We
should be approaching a
$50.00 shot a Franklin
Canyon.  The jackpot hole
at Franklin Canyon will be the short but difficult 17th hole.  If a high
number is rolled there, we just may have a winner!

Some of you may notice a different score than what you remember from
your Stonetree scorecard.  As you remember, we were to play the black
tees, but apparently the marshal took a look at our first couple of groups
and decided we were overmatched!  (haha)   The scores were
recalculated based on the blue tees so there's the difference.  It didn't
appear to change anything as everyone lost strokes accordingly.
