Suekama and Lind do it again at Poppy!

They're threatening to move into contention even though they aren't a regular team!
Jim Suekama and Larry Lind won their second event in a row with a 60 at Poppy
Hills. Larry once again led the way with a 98 for a net 68.   Jim struggled a bit but still
came through with key pars when the team really needed it. That's 40 points in two
events! Who knows?

Tieing for second place were the teams of Bruce Bartfeld / Rich Perata and Chris
Miguel / Marty Miguel. Bruce had a spectacular round of 75 on a course that's
supposed to be a little tough!   Using only 25 putts may have been the key to his
round. Rich had a 95 and was prety steady with nines of 47-48.   Chris had his
troubles on this day but did manage a few key holes including a par at the tricky par-3
second and a birdie at the par-3 6th with a tee shot to 1'-11" to the cup! Marty played
a bit better on the back nine with a 44 while shooting 95 and his best shot was his
final. A 60', downhill birdie putt on the 18th!

Paul Willis and Peter Vorametsanti finished fourth with a 62. Paul used only 27 putts
while shooting 89. Paul had birdies at #9, #11, and #14. Peter took advantage of a
few of his two stroke holes with net birdies on #2, #7 and #17 and a net eagle on #8.
Other good scores included an 86 by Bob Drakes, and an 88 by Ben Santamaria.
