Ok, ok, "jet" was the last airport/plane reference. Just golf now as Barry Dauphinee
and Victor Tablante took off with a 27 on the front nine and then put it on auto pilot on the back with a
30 for a team 57. They were definitely a united team. Um......sorry about that. Barry's 84 (net 64) was a
great score on a course that usually plays tough. Victor shot 92 (net 69) and his net eagle at 9 capped
off their front side 27. In second place with 58 were Larry Lind and Joe Buenavista. The overall team
leaders were right on their handicaps as Larry's 42 on the front led the way whole Joe's 40 on the
back, kept them in the hunt.
In third place were the lefties, Frank Ruccolo and Ken Rachko, with 59. Frank shot an
87 with a birdies at holes 1, 8 and 18. Ken was a little off his game but had enough good holes to keep
the team in the running. In fourth place were the "Hardy Boys", Jim and Jeremy. Oh no, watch out if
these guys win a tournament. And you thought the airport references were too much!! Jim shot an 83
and if not for a few uncharacteristic 3-putts, could have been lower. Jim's son Jeremy had a rocky
start with 51 on the front but came back strong with a 41 on the back.
Bruce Bartfeld shot the low round of the day with a 77 using only 29 putts. Joel
Patterson had the only other sub 90 score, not mentioned yet, with an 88.
