Beyer & Dubois Go 11-Under on the Front Nine!!
Bill Beyer and Thierry Dubois came out of the blocks firing at Franklin Canyon.  After only 3
holes, they were 5-under par as a team.  Thierry birdied the par 3 second for a net 1, followed by
Bill's birdie at number 3 for a net 2.  Bill's net eagle at the ninth capped off a 25 for the outgoing
nine.  Coming home with "only" a 6-under par back nine produced a team 55.  Thierry's round of
80 was one of three on the day and was boosted by an 11 putt front nine!  Bill's 89 could have
been much lower if not for back to back triples on 7& 8.  Even so, he still shot a very
respectable 45 on the front.

Tieing for second place team, with a score of 59, were Bruce Bartfeld and Rich Perata.  Bruce
also shot an 80 while Rich added an 86.  These two started with four net 2's in the first six holes
including Rich's birdie on the par 4, 5th.  Also at 59 was the team of Steve Clark and Bob
Martinez.  Steve knocked his tee shot at the 4th to 3'-3" and sank his birdie.  Bob had a chance
to break the second place tie (team) as he reached the par 5 18th in 2 shots.  Bob made a par.

Other good scores on the day included the third of the 80's shot by John Oda, Marty Miguel's 83
and an 89 from Bob Drakes.

The shot of the day had to be Brian Miguel's second to the par 4 16th.  A good drive put
him about 120 yards out on the right side of the fairway.  His 8-iron approach shot landed
on the front of the green, took a couple of hops and rolled towards the hole.  The ball
glanced off the pin, circled the hole and dropped for an eagle 2.  Nice shooting Brian, can
you show me how to do that?
