Terry Greiner and Dan Haynosch were having a good front nine shooting
5-under 31 but usually a 31 has you thinking you're in the middle of the pack. They
were right because 4 other teams had better starts including Larry Lind and Joe
Buenavista who shot a 27! But there is something to say for consistency. Terry
and Dan finished with a 30 on the back for a 61. Larry and Joe came home with 34,
also for 61. Dan shot an 83 with nothing more than a 5 on his card. Remember
that word.......consistency? Terry also played well with nines of 47-47 for a 94.
Larry and Joe had that great front side of 9-under but flattened out a bit on
the back. Joe's 88 was a good score that included two excellent shots on the par 5,
4th hole to reach the green and two putt for a birdie. Larry had numerous pars in
shooting 96, including 3 of the 4 par threes.
Third with a team 62 were Bruce Bartfeld and Rich Perata. Bruce shot an 80
using only 29 putts while Rich shot 87 with a fantastic front nine of 42. Ken Rachko
and frank Ruccolo were next at 63 as Frank's 85 led the way. There were a lot of
scores in the high 80's as these guys just needed a break or two to record a real
nice score. They included Jim Suekama (87), Marty Miguel (88), & Tom Sabbadini
(89).
