Poppy Ridge will be coming up at the end of August but it's not too early to start planning. The course will require the full payment 30 days ahead of time, which means around the end of July. The announcement for this event will most likely come out right after the 4th of July weekend. No signups will be taken until that announcement comes out and there are only 48 spots available. As always, members have priority. Stay tuned for the announcement and if you plan to play, act fast! |

| AOKI'S FAREWELL TOUR RESULTS IN A WIN AT SAN JOSE MUNI IN MAY |
| Jeff Aoki's last event with the club ended like much of his Westdivot career. With a win! Jeff will be moving to Denver but I have a feeling we may see him again at a Westdivot event. I'm sure we all wish him the best in this move. Jeff shot an 89 to go with partner Jim Suekama's 81 for a team 60 and a one shot victory over 5 teams. Those teams were Stu Elefant / Ben Santamaria, Brett Baker / Ashby Armistead, Bill Beyer / Thierry Dubois, Marty Miguel / Chris Miguel and Mark O'Reilly / Alex Roosakos. Thierry Dubois had the low round of the day shooting a 79 that included a hot start with birdies at the first and the fourth. Alex Roosakos and Ben Santamaria had 86-87 respectively. Chris Miguel had a nice net 68 to help his team. San Jose Muni was in nice shape but for some reason was not the patsy our group usually takes advantage of. Only one round in the seventies and no team in the fifties. Very unusual for our track record here. |
